As salamu alaikum,
I've come across this situation alot. Usually members come on forums, have a disagreement with some of the mods or members and they end up getting banned. Sometimes, its necessary to gain entry and clear one of the false accusation or whatever they put up on the banned member.
So how do you gain re-entry to the forum? Well Forums ban people via their IP Address. So the simplest solution is to get another IP address that is not in the database of banned IP addresses for the forum. One can use a proxy to achieve this, which basically masks the person's IP address with the IP address of the proxy.
One of the simplest proxy is Hide My Ass (it's ok, you can laugh). Simply go to the site, type in the site you wish to access and voila! you've got access again (provided the IP address of that proxy isn't banned). Keep in mind, you probably won't be able to use your userID on whatever forum you've got banned from, but at least you can register a new userID and do as you please.
Keep in mind, this also works for certain other things where IP addresses have been banned.
Enjoy!

Ahlaan,
Are you asking for a new hard drive recommendation or a laptop recommendation? If your hard drive is fried, you could simply replace it. If you are looking for laptop recommendation, I don't have anything in particular. Almost all the laptops out now from namebrand companies like Acer, Dell, Toshiba, Compaq/HP, etc are great. I would say your criteria should be a laptop with atleast 2 GB of RAM and it should be a dual core processor (AMD 64 x2, or intel core 2 duo) since any laptop you buy will have windows vista and that OS needs lots of unnecessary power.
anything here for example is fine: http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=32&name=Laptops-Notebooks
the A/C adaptor is not a issue. But usually you have the option of buying extra A/C adaptors when making purchases for laptops. Your main purchase other than the laptop should be a UPS solution. These are like small batteries that kick in when the power goes out. they'll give you about 10-20 minutes of power after power goes out so that you can save your work and such. Not only that, they'll save your A/C adaptor and/or laptop from frying incase of a power surge.
Here's some UPS. I don't know much about recommending one, but APC is a leader in UPS solution:

All the best.

thanks for the help...
is there anyway NOT to get Vista on a new laptop because i dont think i will ever be able to learn anything other then windows....
you don't have any specific recommendations bc as im sure you know, i know NOTHING about computers. thus i have damaged two laptops in the course of 4 years.
As salamu alaikum,
Basically you'd have to look for laptops from about a year ago or so. Try Dell or HP and see if they have any laptops in their outlets or refurbished sections. I just browsed tigerDirect and they seem to have a few, though for the prices, they are hardly a bargain:

If you really want a good deal, then get the cheapest laptop that comes with Vista, and then buy a student copy of XP (about 90 USD). then you'd have a power laptop and the OS would be running quite smooth.
Also, try contacting Dell, HP, or whatever OEM you like. Usually the phone reps can help greatly.
Best of luck.
